My recent stay at Grand Hotel Leon D'Oro was truly enjoyable. As a traveler exploring the region, the hotel's proximity to the train station made it extremely convenient. Despite this, there was no noise disturbance from the trains. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in slightly earlier. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Additionally, the central location of the hotel made it easy to access various attractions and amenities.
100% Recommend this hotel.

It was clean, the staff was nice, plus the service was outstanding. Being opposite a train station was a bonus. No reason to complain, I greatly enjoyed this hotel and would want to stay there again.
The staff were sad, didn't expect that coming.

Returned after 10 days sightseeing and practically fell out of the train into the hotel. Collected my left-luggage and moved in to a comfortable spacious, clean room to recover. Housekeeping was helpful as were breakfast room staff. An easy walk through the vibrant new city took me to the Centro Storico to complete my introduction to Bari.
The bar was not open even at 7pm. From my first visit I knew that restaurant and bar service was limited but must add that if booked ahead it is provided and is useful, if one arrives later in the evening, to avoid having to search for dinner in an unknown city.

Clean low cost hotel with affable and gentle staff. Brilliant location, savoury breakfast with a lot of food. - Location close to train stations, main bus stops, Matera, other destinations, and the plaza of Bari Centrale station.

Location was good.
No internet connection for 3 nights and the second day morning the hotel staff told me that there is no internet in all Bari, but it was a lie which I cannot appreciate...Although I am an engineer, I could not have the air-conditioner working at all nights, but I did not ask the hotel staff about it...

Very close to railway station which is also pickup/setdown for airport bus. Have already recommended to friends who have since stayed there.
Being a late arrival - about 9pm - the restaurant availability was confusing.
